Why should your family support Fun Fair?
The Fun Fair at the Cottage Street School generates the majority of the CSS PTO’s fundraising income – and provides a great time for CSS families and the Sharon community. In 2013, the CSS PTO Fun Fair netted more than $15,000 for our school and its students – more than half of the PTO’s yearly budget! We know we ask a lot of our school families in terms of donations and volunteer time. Do you know how these funds benefit your children?
Through Fun Fair and other annual fundraisers, CSS PTO provides Cottage Street School with wonderful opportunities, materials, and programs that greatly enhance all of our children’s education and overall experience. In addition to building a strong sense of community, the PTO sponsors a wide variety of grade-level and school-wide programming to support the curriculum. In past years, the CSS PTO has donated thousands of dollars to purchase new technology, build the outdoor classroom, paint the world map, create a new drama program, and enhance our library and physical education programs. The PTO has also sponsored many special enrichment programs, including the Museum of Science and the New England Aquarium, and provides a teacher reimbursement program that helps teachers make special purchases that enrich their classrooms.
