Busy as bees this week at Cottage Street School
It’s a wicked busy week at Cottage Street School!
-This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and our Teacher Appreciation Committee has organized a breakfast, luncheon, and Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt Bar to thank our teachers for their hard work and dedication. In addition, all CSS parents are asked to send in a flower on Tues. 5/6 to be part of a bouquet from the whole class that will be presented to the teacher. Please send in a classroom supply on Thurs. 5/8 for your teacher (your room parents may have emailed a wish list from the teacher). THANK YOU CSS TEACHERS FOR ALL YOU DO FOR OUR CHILDREN AND COMMUNITY!
-It’s Screen-Free Week (5/5-5/11)! Students who entered were given a log to record their screen-free activities. Prizes will be given out to students who participate. More information can be obtained at screenfree.org.
-Wed. 5/7 from 6:45 pm- 8:15 pm is Art Night. Every student at CSS will have at least one piece of artwork displayed as the hallways of CSS are transformed into an art gallery. Ms. Biddle can still use volunteers to help matte and hang artwork, please contact her if you are able to help.
-Friday 5/8 is the annual PTO Mother’s Day Plant Sale. We have about 1700 plants from Wards that will be on sale to every student at CSS for only $1 per plant. In order to ensure there are enough plants for everyone, there will be a maximum limit of five plants per student. Please remember to send your child in to school with $1-$5 on Friday.
-Our last PTO meeting of the 2013-14 school year was held on 5/1. Thank you very much to everyone who has attended these meetings to share ideas, organize activities, and support our school. We look forward to seeing you (and maybe some new faces) in September!
